As we approach the Fourth of July we here at Gravity Capital wish to consider the American Dream. The founding fathers declared “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. That among these are life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” These enterprising words are what formed the collective conscious of a young nation.Eventually fueling the belief that anyone could make it big. It is important to note that the connotation of happiness in the 18th century referred to one’s well-being and prosperity. The founding fathers truly believed that we should seek prosperity.
